There was a little splash sound from behind me. Looking back, a jellyfish-like creature with blue glow is floating on the pond.
Akira : Huh...!? What in the world is that?
Lennox : This is... Some kind of water demon. How surprising.
Lennox : I once saw it at Doctor Figaro's house, but I heard that it's quite a rare species.
Akira : (Don't tell me the strange presence Owen mentioned was this little fellow...?)
Akira : Looks like they bring something. Two brooches...? Also, it looks really gorgeous...
The water demon suddenly holding out the brooch in front of me.
Lennox : They mistake it for the stone Master Sage dropped, don't they?
Akira : I see.
Akira : Thank you, water demon. But this isn't mine, so I can't receive it.
Water demon : .....
The water demon kept silent for a while, as if thinking, and offered me something that's not a brooch.
A pretty stone just as I remembered, it faintly emits a warm light.
Akira : Ah, that stone! Yes, this is what I dropped.
Akira : Thank you for picking it up. Ooh, it's still warm even though it has fallen into the water.
Lennox : ...Master Sage, this water demon is vulnerable to cold, and they usually sleep in winter.
Akira : Huh. Then, how come they stay awake here in underground? It's fairly cold here, after all...
Lennox : They probably got lost from somewhere else. I believe that they woke up because of the stone's warmth.
Lennox : Hey, you. Can you lend me one of those brooches?
Lennox : ≪Forsettao Meiuvat≫
Lennox chanted his spell, and the brooch shone a pale light. It seemed to has gathered heat.
Lennox : It should be warm enough for the time being. Take this.
Water demon : ......!
The water demon twirled their body around. They didn't speak, but they seemed to be happy.
Akira : Ah, the other brooch... The water demon dropped it.
Lennox : Maybe they gave it as a thanks. Please receive it, Master Sage.
Akira : Then this is yours, Lennox.
Lennox : I heard that water demons give reward to honest people. It's thanks to Master Sage who said the truth since beginning.
Lennox : Although... It made me glad that the water demon was pleased.
Lennox : Usually, I don't know what to do with this magic, but I'm grateful that I have it at times like this.
Akira : Lennox's magic is always for the sake of someone. I honestly think that it's really admirable.
